0:00 - 0:30 | Introduction
Hey guys, this is Noelle. I had to make this video immediately because a friend of mine fell victim to a sneaky new ATM scam. It’s draining people’s bank accounts, and many don’t even realize how it works. I want to explain what’s happening and how you can protect yourself.

0:31 - 2:00 | Scam Warning & Fake Accounts
Before we dive into the ATM scam, I want to remind you: if you see someone pretending to be me in YouTube comments, asking for money on WhatsApp, it’s NOT me! I don’t ask for money through social media. Some people have even emailed me saying they sent money and want a refund, but I never had their money in the first place.

2:01 - 3:45 | How the ATM Scam Works
This scam is clever and dangerous. Here’s how it happens:

Scammers put glue in ATM card slots, preventing you from inserting your card.
A "helpful stranger" conveniently appears and tells you, “Just use the tap feature!”
You tap your card, enter your PIN, and withdraw your money.
But because you didn’t insert your card, the ATM session remains active after you leave.
The scammer walks up immediately after you, enters another transaction, and steals hundreds of dollars from your account!
3:46 - 5:45 | Why Banks Won't Refund You
Since you entered your PIN, the bank sees it as an authorized transaction.
Filing a claim with the bank is extremely difficult, and most victims don’t get their money back.
ABC News has reported people losing $500, $600, even $900 in a single scam.
5:46 - 7:30 | How to Protect Yourself
Avoid using tap-to-pay at ATMs! If you can’t insert your card, LEAVE—that ATM is compromised.
If you must use the tap feature, always press "END TRANSACTION" before walking away.
Be cautious of strangers offering help at ATMs—they are likely scammers.
7:31 - 9:45 | Real-Life Scams Targeting My Family
Even my own kids have fallen for scams:

My son got scammed by someone offering him a fake check, causing his account to overdraft.
My daughter was tricked into paying for work-from-home equipment, only to realize it was a scam.
These scams are happening everywhere—warn your kids and loved ones!
9:46 - 11:30 | Credit Cards vs. Debit Cards
Stop using debit cards for everyday transactions.
If a scammer steals from your credit card, you can dispute it easily and get your money back.
If they take money from your bank account, it’s much harder to recover.
11:31 - 12:30 | Final Thoughts
Be aware of ATM scams, online fraud, and social media impersonators.
Protect yourself by avoiding sketchy transactions and using credit cards instead of debit cards.
I want to help you stay safe, protect your money, and build wealth!
